purposeThe Himalayan Internship Program (HIP) is a one-month life-changing experience designed for college students & college-age young adults. Its sole purpose is to unite students with the unreached and least-reached Tibetan Buddhists in the foothills of the Himalayas. It is our hope that HIP will ignite a passion for frontier missions among a new generation of global leaders.
HIP's objective is to build a BRIDGE for students to understand effective ministry among unreached Tibetan people groups. We want to help students:

hear from our past students
Something I learned about unreached people is that they aren’t some creatures of another world; they feel, experience, and struggle with the same things I do. They aren’t as different from us as I thought. |
The 'dirty work' like language and culture learning, living everyday life, travel, sickness, communication issues, deep study and planning, extended tea “hangouts,” and intense discipleship are part of the package. They are all a part of obedience to God and servanthood, not just the 'romantic' parts. |
I feel like my understanding of unity in Christ has grown and expanded, which will help me know how to better pray for believers around the world. |
